Four Motors for Europe

The Four Motors for Europe are highly industrialized regions in Europe . It is composed of 1. Milan , Lombardy of Italy ; 2. Lyon , Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes of France ; 3. Catalonia of Spain; and 4. Stuttgart , Baden-Württemberg of Germany . On September 9, 1988, in Stuttgart , Germany , the presidents of these territories signed an agreement, called the Memorandumto increase economic and social cooperation between the realms. The agreement is to have the regions cooperate in the fields of science , research , education , environment , culture , and other sectors. The purpose of this relationship Was to Provide a unifying force Within Europe as well as Increasing the potential for economic growth dans le oven areas. These areas focus on the exchange of information with Each Other to expand Their technology and R & D . Wales and Flanders are also associated with this group. [1]
